ReliaNET was the first Public provider of wireless Internet back
in 1997.
First ISP to support v.90
Through special arrangements from Compaq
and Lucent, ReliaNET had V.90 modem technology up and running
even before it was released to the public. We had access to the earliest
v.90 firmware.
All Digital - All Fiber
We are directly connected to Qwest and ELI via fiber circuits.
One 155 Mbps OC-3 clear channel circuit, and one 45 Mbps DS-3, with
room to grow even further. We want our customers to get the fastest
downloads possible with the least amount of Internet congestion.
Backup Power
Our NOC is backed up with over 25,000 VA of back
up power for our servers, with separate, secondary dedicated backup
for our fiber circuits. All of our routers and servers are connected
to inline Battery backup system in addition to our Auxiliary Generator
Power System. That means that our routers and servers run continuously
throughout brown-outs and power outages even without the use of our
Automatic Generator System. This is to ensure maximum uptime.
NO SPAM, NO VIRUS
Our Advanced E-mail Servers automatically
scan all incoming emails for viruses and SPAM and eliminate them
before they hit your inbox. Many other types of viruses that don't
pass through E-mail are also blocked once they become known to
the public. You have full customizable SPAM controls at your fingertips
including our exclusive "Safe E-mail" which is great
for children as it only allows emails to be received from the people
you choose.
Fast Modem Network
All modems are 64K and higher (digital
modems are 56K, multilink PPP, and dual channel 128K ISDN capable)
with flash memory to allow for fast code upgrades! Cutting edge
modem technology with Hot-swappable modems/power supplies and spares
on-hand.
Fast Servers
Our main servers all use gigabit
technology, fast Hard drives with low seek times, and will handle
100's of thousands of hits to multiple virtual domains per hour.
Our Servers have been tested and found to be faster than Netscape
Commerce Server, Communications Server, and NCSA 1.4.2, and 1.5.
Cisco Core Routing
With Cisco 1700, 2500, 4000M, 3600,
7200VXR, and 7500 series routers in house, we have ample upgrade-ability
and reliability. Our core router nearing 4 years of
uptime.
