MDU's without Existing Cabling
The following access agreements and policies are for MDU's (Multi-Dwelling Units) without existing cabling and/or infrastructure. MDU's consist of Apartment buildings, Hotels, Condos, and any other property that has a single connection split out into multiple units or tenants. These policies are in addition to the Acceptable Use Policy that all users of the Network must adhere to.
ReliaNET will install all necessary cabling, jacks, termination equipment, and other misc. equipment to provide Internet Services to as many units as possible. ReliaNET maintains ownership of all equipment, cabling, jacks, jumpers, patch panels, switches and routers that are installed unless purchased by the property owners. If services are terminated, property owners will allow ReliaNET or it's agents to remove any/all equipment including, but not limited to, cabling, faceplates, jacks, switches, routers, UPS's, and all other devices that were installed that were not purchased by the MDU owners. MDU owners may be given the option of purchasing the equipment. Installation fees may apply. Property owners agree to allow ReliaNET reasonable access to their equipment at all times. The minimum term agreements are 3 years for 4 buildings or less (or 4 floors or less) and 5 years for 5 or more buildings (or 5 or more floors). There no term agreements required for MDU's that have purchased their equipment, cabling, and paid for installation services.
MDU owners may cancel services after the term is complete upon providing written notice to ReliaNET 30 days in advance.
Tampering with equipment, cat5 cables, jacks is prohibited. Rewiring any data jacks is prohibited. Cable faceplates, jacks and outlets may not be removed, damaged, or altered without written consent from ReliaNET. Any service calls and/or repairs will be billed directly to tenant. MDU owners have a responsibility to assist in enforcing these policies.
ReliaNET will maintain services and repairs to it's equipment, and will provide technical support services to MDU tenants as outlined in our AUP.
Some properties may use additional equipment such as modems, routers, or special cabling which is the sole property of ReliaNET unless purchased by the MDU owner or tenant. Otherwise, said equipment needs to remain with the unit for the next occupant or be returned to ReliaNET.
Individual properties may vary if specifically stated, otherwise, the above terms apply:
