The EAGLE (Aquila)
The Eagle has only one bright star, Altair, which is part of the Summer Triangle.  Two other stars can be seen on either side of Altair, forming a straight line.  The Eagle flies south of the Swan and its stars are not as bright.
Using the top of this line, trace down and to the right to find a medium bright star.  This is the center of the constellation.  From here, you can trace out the head (which has three stars that curve upwards), and add both wings.
Sometimes when the stars aren't so bright, just look for a large T in the sky with Altair in the middle.
When the stars are really bright, I like to add fuller wings and some tail feathers to make a more interesting Eagle.
